You may have read or heard that Squeeze are supporting the Trussell Trust on their autumn tour. The Trussell Trust is a network of food banks throughout the country who provide food and other essentials, such as toiletries and hygiene products, to people in the local community.

It’s disgraceful that in 2019 people can’t afford to put even the most basic food on the table.” Glenn Tilbrook

This is a campaign that Glenn started in 2018 and more than 3.5 tonnes of food have been donated by generous audience members at his solo concerts. Now with support from his partner Chris Difford, this ongoing campaign will roll out throughout the Squeeze tour.

If you are able to spare some (non-perishable) food, toiletries, or even some money, you will find multiple food drop points and collection boxes at all venues on this tour.

list of items in a typical food parcel are: cereal, soup, pasta, rice, tinned tomatoes/pasta sauce, lentils, beans and pulses, tinned meat, tinned vegetables, tea/coffee, tinned fruit, biscuits, UHT milk and fruit juice. If possible please check with yourlocal food bank to see what supplies are currently needed.

Squeeze have recently announced that there will be a special EP for sale at the concerts with proceeds from the sale of the EP going to the Trussell Trust. Keep an eye on their website and social media for more details

We know that not everyone will be able to donate, but if you would like to read more about The Trussell Trust please go to trusselltrust.org

Thank you from all in the Squeeze camp for your support.
